No — it’s Greek for “sharing gifts and honors,” which is a pretty generous, if slightly nonsequitur, brand ethos! They started out making mountain boots in the 1940s and shifted to streetwear in the 1960s. Ever since then, they’ve kept a tight edit of classic sneaker shapes in very cool color combinations. Like this classic nod to B. Elite’s golden era, ’80s grass court tennis — finished with a unique stonewashing and waxing process that does the breaking in for you. So they’re comfortable from the first wear (and even have an intentionally scuffy, grass-like patina so you look like you just got finished playing a few rounds). We love the extra character.
